Sailing day. 25 knots of wind so we set the canvas at one reef. No sooner than we started to get into the rhythm, chaos strikes. The dingy, or the family car, tried to get away. The shackle that holds the engine side had had enough and jumped into the sea leaving the dingy hanging by the bow and nearly turning over. We still had the engines running and doing 8knots of boat speed. Small moment of panic and we headend to into the wind. Wayne ran forward to furl, bring in the jib and the main was fine. I futzed with the dingy dropping it completely into the water as dingy toy with going upside down. It quickly floated right side up the boat still moving forward.
Tied it off and used and anchor shackle to return the flooded dingy to its proper position aboard the mothership.

Let’s try this again. Put the sails back out still reeled and shooting toward St. Vincent coming so closely to Bequia. It’s a little rough and I’m thinking there is no fish in its right mind gonna chase our lures behind the speeding boat going 9-11 knots as we were bouncing through the waves. Then just as we barely cleared Bequia the cedar plug went wild. The black fin tuna has landed, been cleaned and ready for a delicious meal.

We are now tucked in behind young island next to where we dropped Shawn and Sharon off last year. Having a small order of wings and french fries of course with some cold beers.
